Edwin de Hoog
IADC bestowed the Young Author Award 2021 to Mr. Edwin de Hoog, Research and Development Engineer at Royal IHC in Kinderdijk, The Netherlands and PhD candidate at the Delft University of Technology. The award was granted at industry-leading conferences, with 2021’s winning young author selected from the proceedings of the CEDA Dredging Days, virtually held on 28 and 29 September 2021.
Liesbeth De Keukelaere
IADC bestowed the Young Author Award to Liesbeth De Keukelaere for her contribution to the paper “Mapping water quality with drones – test case in Texel”. The award is granted at industry-leading conferences, with a winning young author selected from the proceedings of the CEDA Dredging Days 2019, held on 7-8 November in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
Cao Lei
The IADC bestowed the Young Author Award 2019 to Ms Cao Lei, Engineer at the CCCC National Engineering Research Centre of Dredging Technology and Equipment in Shanghai, China. The award is granted at industry-leading conferences, with 2019’s winning young author selected from the proceedings of the 22nd World Dredging Congress held in Shanghai, China from 22-26 April 2019.
François De Keuleneer
Young Author Award 2018 was bestowed to François De Keuleneer. Co-authors of the paper include Joris de Vroom of BMT Argoss and Arjan Mol of DEME-group. The award was granted at industry-leading conferences, with 2018’s winning young author selected from the proceedings of the 34th PIANC World Congress. An article is published in the June 2018 issue of Terra et Aqua.
Jordy Boone
The International Association of Dredging Companies bestowed the Young Authors Award to Jordy Boone, author of the winning paper “1DH Modeling of Transport and Sedimentation Inside a Hopper of a Trailing Suction Dredger”. The paper was presented during CEDA Dredging Days 2017 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and is published as an article in the March 2018 issue of Terra et Aqua.
Lucas Silveira
Lucas Silveira, manager of Coastal & Ports Engineering of CB&I, a Brazilian consultancy firm, won the IADC Young Author Award at the PIANC-COPEDEC IX conference in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for his paper, “Integrated Method for the Development of Optimal Channel Dredging Project – Case Study: Terminal Portuário do Mearim”. The paper will be published in IADC’s dredging journal, Terra et Aqua.
François De Keuleneer
François De Keuleneer, an environmental engineer at Dredging International NV, an operating company of DEME Group, won the 2016 IADC Young Author Award at WODCON XXI in Miami, Florida.
De Keuleneer’s research paper, “Luxeal – The Easy to Handle Aquitard” that won him the prize was written with two other colleagues.
