Marco Tanis graduated as an engineer from H.T.S. Civiele Techniek, Dordrecht, the Netherlands in 1998 and received his M.A. at Erasmus University, Rotterdam, in Management in 2005. From 1998-2001 he was a Trainee at Rijkswaterstaat Zuid-Holland in Rozenburg and from 2001-2005 he was Contract Manager for Rijkswaterstaat Zuid-Holland, Rotterdam involved with the dredged material depot at Hollands Diep. In 2006 he started at Boskalis b.v. as Commercial Manager Infra Ontwikkeling, and is since 2007 till the present, Chief of the Bedrijfsbureau, the department that co-ordinates the tendering procedures.
