Joris Rood holds a BSc in Engineering which he obtained in The Hague, the Netherlands. From 2002 to date he has been working at Royal Boskalis Westminster, starting as a trainee and now working as a superintendent with various dredging equipment since 2003. For two years starting at the end of 2006 he worked as a superintendent on the breakwater rehabilitation project at Poti, Georgia.
