Simone Hellebrand graduated in 1999 from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Technical University Delft,  and since then works as a designer/project engineer with De Weger Architects and Consulting Engineers, later incorporated in Royal Haskoning. Her expertise is in the design of breakwaters, shore and seabed protections, port and terminal planning, the design of oil and gas jetties and other marine structures.
