Kwok-choi Ng received a PhD in geology from the University of Alberta in 1990. In between earning degrees he worked in engineering geology, exploration geology, hydrogeology and geological research in Hong Kong, Brunei, Cayman Islands and USA. He joined the Hong Kong Government in 1994, where he works in the Fill Management Division of the Geotechnical Engineering Office CEDD.
