Gerardo Perillo
Gerardo Perillo graduated as Licenciado in Geological Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires in 1975 and did his PhD in Oceanography at Old Dominion University in 1981. He was Assistant Researcher at the Servicio de Hidrografía Naval and later became a CONICET researcher at the Instituto Argentino de Oceanografía (IADO) where he is presently Senior Principal Researcher. He is also Professor at the Department of Geology, Universidad Nacional del Sur and Joint Professor at the Department of Oceanography, Université du Québec (Canada). Dr Perillo is the editor of two books about Geomorphology and Sedimentology of Estuaries and Estuaries of South America.
