Joseph Harrington (BE, MS, PhD, CEng FIEI, EurIng, PE) is Head of the School of Building & Civil Engineering at the Cork Institute of Technology, previously working as a Coastal Engineer with Moffatt & Nichol Engineers, California and as a Lecturer in Civil Engineering at the Cork Institute of Technology. He graduated from University College Cork with Bachelor and Doctoral Degrees and University of California, Berkeley with a Masters Degree. His research interests include sediment behaviour, transport and management in river, estuarine and coastal environments.
