Ida Broker obtained her PhD in sediment transport in 1985 at the Technical University of Denmark and joined DHI immediately after. She has been heavily involved in the development of DHI’s numerical modelling tools for non-cohesive sediment transport and morphological evolution in the coastal zone and in numerous coastal studies worldwide. She is head of Coastal and Estuarine Dynamics Department at DHI.
