Dr. John F. Riddell is a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at University of Strathclyde, Glasgow (Scotland) UK, where he specialises in Water Engineering. For the WODCON XIV, he was invited by the WODCON Committee to organise and chair the final session of the conference which addressed the issue of how people are educated and trained, on various levels, to enter the field of dredging.
