Jan Brooke is a British environmental consultant specialising in environmental issues related to ports, harbours and dredging and is UK representative on PIANC’s Environmental Commission. She is a specialist in the practical implications of the EU Habitats and Birds Directive, Water Framework Directive and Environmental Liability Directive, and is the chair of an EUwide Task Group assessing the implications of the Water Framework Directive for the ports, harbours, dredging and navigation industries. She acts as an advisor to the Port of London Authority and Gloucester Harbour Trustees amongst others.
