Dr. K. Murali. Professor, Ocean Engineering and Engineering Unit Chairman, IIT Madras. Director of National Technology Centre for Ports, Waterways and Coasts, IIT Madras has confirmed to be one of the speakers at the IADC Conference Dredging for Sustainable Infrastructure Conference which will be held on 18 October 2019 in New Delhi, India. He will address the regional challenges on sustainable dredging.

Dr Murali started his career at the Ocean Engineering Department of the Indian Institute of Technology-Madras, India in 1990. Presently, Dr Murali is Professor Ocean Engineering and Chairman of Engineering Unit of IIT Madras. He also plays the role of Professor-in-Charge of National Technology Centre for Ports, Waterways and Coasts (NTCPWC) at IIT Madras.

The Ministry of Education and Social Welfare, as per the decision of the Council of Indian Institute of Technology, established the Ocean Engineering Centre of IIT Madras in 1977.
