Dredging operations are risky. They are large, sprawling with hidden dangers amongst heavy machinery. The IADC members are committed to safeguarding their employees and to continuous improvement in guaranteeing a safe and healthy work environment.
To encourage this, in 2007 the IADC Board instituted a Safety Award to recognise a project with outstanding QHSE features. Going a step further, in November 2013 the IADC assembled a group of QHSE experts from the member companies: the Safety Committee was established.
In this Terra et Aqua three articles on Emissions and an article on Safety.
Terra et Aqua, the official quarterly publication of IADC, seeks to present dredging related papers on important scientific and state-of-the-art subjects. Articles from all those involved in dredging, members and non-members, will be considered but all submissions are subject to peer review.
The partnership that Clarksons and the International Association of Dredging Companies struck up more than a decade ago has helped make this publication an irreplaceable reference source for the industry.
