Striving for Zero Incidents: IADC launches Safety Committee
Dredging operations are risky. They are large, sprawling with hidden dangers amongst heavy machinery. The IADC members are committed to safeguarding their employees and to continuous improvement in guaranteeing a safe and healthy work environment. The IADC members have committed themselves to reducing the number of industry accidents and incidents to zero.
In November 2013, a group of QHSE experts from the member companies were nominated and the IADC Safety Committee was established.
One of the items that the committee has been charged with is the development of a “Charter of Best Practices”.
